Starting the quest:
Talk to the man in the house in Mt Silver (go to Mt Silver, turn right and go to the other map you´ll see the house soon) , he ask you to get him the Ancient Gem. The gem its in Pewter city museum and its worth 400k.
When you get the gem go back and talk to the man in Mt Silver he ask you to talk to a researcher in Ruins of Alph (south path, you need Surfing to get there) when you talk to him he gives you some letters.
Then you have to go back and talk to the man in Mt Silver house... He ask what the letters are when you tell him he ask you for a Dragon Scale (you can get one from a quest in route 40).
At least he tolds to you that you can go now to Cerulean Cave.
